The numbers 1 to 22 are listed below with explanations.
When using the device for navigation, for best results, stand in an open outdoor space not obstructed by buildings, trees, etc. Hold the device at arm's length and at face level with the screen angled to 45° for about half a minute - this is the best angle to acquire the most satellite signals, and therefore obtain a greater location accuracy.
🌳🌲 🤳 🏬 🏢
Time of Day, Date, Battery Charge and GPS signal strength can be checked at any time when the unit is switched on by depressing the LIGHT button.
🌏 Waypoints are points on the Earth's Surface that you have chosen and specified.
🌏 Location accuracy is generally within about six feet anywhere on the earth's surface.
You can easily check the Number of Satellites presently acquired, and the Location Accuracy by selecting Satellite from the main menu. At least 12 Satellites are normally acquired at any one time if a clear view of the sky exists.
The location accuracy is the figure shown beneath "GPS + GLONASS " on the Satellite menu screen.
🛰3 🛰16 🛰5 🛰8 🛰84 🛰39 🛰52 🛰7 🛰23 🛰90
Each Satellite has an ident number.
The items shown in RED below are things that need setting up before using the device - Do These First !

Routes. Coordinates. Cities.
Having made a selection, select Go and then select Compass from the main menu. The big Arrow Triangle on the compass points in the direction that you need to proceed. To activate the compass you will need to walk a few feet in any direction; this enables the satellites to detect the orientation of your Garmin device.
To return along a stored Track: Select the Track and then select Tracback.
3. Compass
Displays the North South East West circular compass and the following data:
🚶🏽♂️ Speed 🚶🏽♂️ Distance to Next 🚶🏽♂️ Estimated Time of Arrival

To record your present location as a Waypoint : Enter a name to identify it for later by overtyping the number which automatically appears. Press Done when finished. Note that there is sometimes a response delay to button presses.
To store a Waypoint for any place : First enter a name to identify it for later, then enter the coordinates for the place.
Press Done when finished. Your Waypoint is now stored for future use - easily accessed via the name you gave it.
Google Earth or Google Maps is the best way to find your coordinates. Even if you have obtained your coordinates from another source, it is strongly recommended to check them out on Google Earth before entering them.
A note can be added below the Waypoint name; useful for reminders about the details of a site.
